We've taken on several major home projects over the past few years, so I'm no stranger to how contractor jobs typically go. I can honestly say the Owens team has been my favorite to work with. They exceeded expectations from start to finish. The fence installation was completed quickly (taking all my neighbors by surprise), though not quite as quickly as was originally estimated. That was because they cared enough to spend the time needed to deliver quality. When something wasn't exactly right, they fixed it because they wanted it done well, not because I had to point it out. I never felt like I needed to play foreman or constantly check their work. They took genuine pride in the finished product, and it showed. I'd recommend them to anybody. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a great experience with Owens Contracting. They replaced two sets of hinges and one latch on my aluminum double gate, and the work was excellent from start to finish. They arrived on time, were professional, and completed the job efficiently with great attention to detail. The gate now opens and closes perfectly, and everything feels solid and secure. I'm impressed.  I called two other companies prior and no one showed.  It's weird because in my previous searches Owen's did not appear in the listings but their information showed up after almost throwing in the towel.  I called and Brant and Jeremy and they showed up the day after.  They measured and gave me a quote.  The pricing was more reasonable than what I've heard from other people regarding fencing. They're busy and gave me a time frame of a few weeks.  The cost included having the city make sure the fence didn't interfere with utility lines.  The crew members are really nice and experienced.  The fencing is put together professionally.  It's definitely is not the old fashioned panel fencing.  They put it together piece by piece and I've never seen that before. Phenomenal job from Owen's on my fence in the Heartwood community. The team knows the design standards well and how to efficiently work past all of the nuances of the plots here. The project coordinator was able to take care of all the necessary admin - submission to the city, fence line drawing for the HOA, marking for electrical and irrigation... The fence went up in one day, despite rain, and looks fantastic. The crew was professional and communicated updates throughout the install. Our plot had some small, unique challenges and the team designed a custom solution that looks great, is HOA approved, and came together flawlessly. I couldn't be happier with the fence. Customer was excellent.  The service and experience was spot on.

The cost of a fence depends upon several factors. The main determining factors consist of what type of fence material is selected, the style of fence being built, what type and how many gates are installed, and, of course, how many linear feet of fence is required. (Linear footage is calculated by measuring the perimeter of the area that the fence will be built on.) For privacy fences, pressure-treated pine is the most economical material choice.

When your backyard backs up against your neighbor’s yard, you’ll want a privacy fence with a height that gives you the most privacy. Usually, this can be accomplished with a 6ft height. But we can do height transitions higher or lower than 6ft in order to give you more privacy or more view depending on your preference.

If your backyard does not back up against a neighbor, but to a green space or pond, our aluminum fence is a popular choice. Your yard may be perfect for a picket fence or a chain link fence if privacy is not a priority.

The land rights may vary in your area. So, it may be necessary to check with your local tax assessor’s office office. However, the ownership of an existing fence is typically the same owner of the land for which the fence is installed upon. If there is an existing fence, you should check with your neighbors to be certain the fence is yours. When there is doubt, it may be necessary to hire a survey company to mark the property lines.

Our pine fencing products are pressure-treated to make them resistant to insects, rot, and damage.

When fences are installed using pre-fabricated panels, fencing slopes and irregular ground levels can be difficult to properly fence. You will usually get large gaps at the bottom areas and uneven capping.

We do NOT use pre-fabricated fence panels. We build custom fences. Custom fences (or stick-built fences) allow us to better follow the lay-of-the-land (topography) and gives a much smoother transition. We can include custom transitions as an upgrade to your fence installation.

The turnaround time for fence installation depends on several factors such as type of fence, length of fence to be installed, and site conditions. Project time would also be affected by the removal of any existing fence if required. Usually, our installation takes 2 days. If we’re also removing an old fence, the total time would be 3 to 4 days. Please ask your sales representative for scheduling details.

Staining or painting your fence will increase the lifespan or your fence and maintain aesthetics over time. An unstained fence will provide you with a good service life but, over time, will grey from the sun and the elements.
